  • "http://www.nrcan.gc.ca/mms/" The Minerals and Mining Statistics Division (MMSD) of Natural Resources Canada works in cooperation with provincial and territorial mining departments to collect mineral statistics. Mandate: Prepare and conduct (in collaboration with our partners) the collection of mining industry information (including production, consumption and exploration). Process, compile and disseminate mining and minerals data monthly and annually. MMSD also has the responsibility to: Disseminate the information collected to clients via reports, ; publications, etc. Perform economic and statistical analyses; and ; Provide users with access to and use of information through ; efficient automated systems. Our Commitment: To cooperate fully with all provinces and territories in the collection, exchange and dissemination of statistical information describing the Canadian mining industry in order to: reduce the response burden, increase operational efficiencies, avoid duplication and overlap, simplify operating procedures, and respond to the needs of our clients/partners. The Minerals and Mining Statistics Division is part of the the Economic and Financial Analysis Branch (EFAB) of Minerals and Mining Sector.nd to the needs of our clients/partners. (en)
