Definition
- The prime focus of NASA's Atmospheric Chemistry Program is improving our understanding of the chemistry and processes affecting atmospheric ozone, especially the stratospheric ozone layer. Instruments are flown on high-altitude balloons, high-altitude aircraft, and spacecraft, while research and analysis are carried out in laboratories and by computer modelling.
