Definition
- The mission of Fisheries and Oceans Canada Science is to provide high quality knowledge, products and scientific advice on Canadian aquatic ecosystems and living resources, with a vision of safe, healthy, productive waters and aquatic ecosystems. From the open ocean to the laboratory, Scientists in Canada's Pacific Region conduct research throughout the North Pacific, coastal and interior British Columbia, the Yukon, as well as the Western Arctic. Ocean Science and Productivity research provides the foundation for assessing the effect of changes in ocean conditions on marine ecosystems and understanding the role of the ocean in the global climate system.
