- The Antarctic Climate Research originates from the National Institute of Polar Research. The tasks of this research include conduct comprehensive scientific research in various disciplines in the polar regions and administer the scientific programs of and provide logistic support to the Japanese Antarctic Research Expeditions. These climatic studies are important in understanding the environment of the Antarctic region.
