  • Joint Archive for Shipboard Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (JASADCP) acquires, reviews, documents, archives, and distributes ocean current shipboard ADCP data sets. NOAA's National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC) and National Coastal Data Development Center (NCDDC) in collaboration with the E.Firing Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) Laboratory at the University of Hawai'i have established the Joint Archive for Shipboard ADCP (JASADCP). The JASADCP acquires, reviews, documents, archives, and distributes ocean current shipboard ADCP data sets. The archive primarily handles US national cruises, although it also supports several completed multi-national programs such as Tropical Ocean Global Atmosphere Coupled Ocean Atmosphere Response Experiment (TOGA COARE), Western Equatorial Pacific Ocean Circulation Study (WEPOCS), and United States-People's Republic of China cruises. The JASADCP also acts as a Data Assembly Center for the World Ocean Circulation Experiment (WOCE) in collaboration with the Japan Oceanographic Data Center (JODC). The growing JASADCP currently archives data sets from over 1000 cruises. (en)
