- More Information: "http://www.gov.ns.ca/snsmr/land/" The Nova Scotia Geomatics Centre provides geographic information and property registration for the province of Nova Scotia and ensures that geographic information is easily accessed and shared among public and private information users. It encourages the development of a strong private sector industry in the field of geomatics. The Nova Scotia Geomatics Centre (NSGC), Registry and Information Management Services, Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations, plays a major role in achieving the Province's goals of making land information accessible and encouraging the development of the private sector geomatics industry. The Centre's major responsibilities include provision, maintenance, and distribution of the Province's primary land information databases. These databases include: Nova Scotia Topographic Database Nova Scotia Property Records Database Nova Scotia Coordinate Referencing System Database Nova Scotia Aerial Photography Archive In addition to managing these Provincial databases, the Centre's geomatics expertise is available to provincial departments and to the geomatics industry. This assistance includes contracting-out services and technical advisory services related to the use and development of the primary databases. Expertise is available from the Centre in geomatics disciplines, including photogrammetery, remote sensing, cartography, geographic information systems, digital mapping and surveying. (en)
