NATIONAL REMOTE SENSING CENTRE 'http://www.nrsc.co.uk/' One of the primary roles of the NRSC is to introduce new users to satellite imagery and demonstrate how the data can be used for a variety of applications. The objectives of the NRSC are to supply remote sensing data and imagery; assist British Industry in its remote sensing activities; to provide facilities for research into and development of data processing, analysis and interpretive techniques; to act as a focal point for the development of remote sensing techniques and their application; to provide education and training facilities in remote sensing. The data is obtained from Earthnet, EURIMAGE, EOSAT, SPOT Image. The data acquired and archived by the NRSC is owned by the Royal Aerospace Establishment (RAE). Fact sheets and user guides covering the NRSC's facilities and services are available free of charge. The operation of the NRSC is funded by the British National Space Centre.
