Definition

  • CENDOC (Centro Nacional de Datos Oceanograficos) is a National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC) within the International Oceanographic Data and Information Exchange System (IODE) system and a National Oceanographic Center (NOC) within the Integrated Global Oceans System (IGOSS) system. Archived CENDOC data sets are available as magnetic tape copies of specified data subsets. These files are sorted by cruise number (cruise file) and by geographic grid system (Geofile). Data are on 1600 bpi tapes, ASCII code only. By special request, data is also available on floppy disks.
