Definition
- The Corvallis Research Group (CRG) provides scientific research and technology in support of information needs of the Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Corvallis Research Group assists managers to address critical management issues with state-of-the-art science in conjunction with the USGS. The USGS provides the nation with reliable scientific information to describe and understand the Earth; minimize loss of life and property from natural disasters; manage water, biological, energy, and mineral resources; and enhance and protect our quality of life. The Corvallis Research Group is in partnership with the Amphibian Research and Monitoring Initiative (ARMI), which is a nation wide program, designed to assess amphibian status and habitats on DOI lands and to determine the factors responsible for declines. CRG is also partners with the Cooperative Forest Ecosystem Research Program (CFER), which was developed to facilitate sound management of forest ecosystems.
