STATISTICAL APPLICATIONS
Definition
- Statistical Applications are defined as Data Analysis and Visualization Services that are designed to process Earth science data in a primarily numerical environment and that allow the user of the service to apply statistical or mathematical algorithms to the data in a non-graphical manner. Mathematical Applications may or may not include graphical visualization functionality but do not have visualization as their primary operation. EXAMPLES: A Spreadsheet, SPSS. (en)
