Definition
- Tetrafluoromethane is a colorless nonflammable gas. It is shipped as a liquid under pressure. It may be narcotic at high concentrations. Under prolonged exposure to fire or heat the containers may rupture violently and rocket. It is used as a refrigerant. (en)
