DOMES
Definition
- The DOMES Project is concerned with the environmental aspects of anticipated marine mining of manganese nodules. In order to assess the environmental conditions prior to commercial manganese nodule recovery, scientists involved in the DOMES Project have been studying three sites in an area in the east-central Pacific where initial mining operations are expected.
