PROARCA/CAPAS
Definition
- The objective of PROARCA/CAPAS is to provide financial, technical, and policy assistance for the management of protected areas and the conservation of biodiversity in Central America. PROARCA is the Central American Regional Environmental Program of the US Agency for International Development (USAID), and was created to support CCAD. CAPAS, which stands for "Central American Protected Areas System," is one of the four components of PROARCA. (en)
