  • GOALS (Global Ocean-Atmosphere-Land System ) is a project for predicting seasonal to internannual climate and observing, modeling, and analysis of the data obtained from the project. Goals of GOALS: -Understand global climate variability on a seasonal basis -determine the spatial and temporal extent to which this variability is predictable -develop the observational, theoretical, and computational means to predict this variability -make enhanced climate predictions on a seasonal-tointerannual time scales.
