  • Welcome to the Fort Collins Science Center (FORT), located in Fort Collins, Colorado along the northern Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. As a science center of the U.S. Geological Survey we develop and disseminate research-based information and tools needed for understanding the Nation’s biological resources in support of effective decision making. We employ over 230 research and support staff who work closely with many government agencies, universities, and private organizations to generate science products and services relevant to partner needs. Our products and services include research reports and journal publications; predictive models and decision tools; Web applications; maps and GIS products; seminars, workshops, and training; and technical assistance.
