  • The Institute for Marine and Atmospheric research Utrecht (IMAU) is an inter-faculty University research institute established on 24 September 1991. It is composed of the Meteorology and Physical Oceanography Department of the faculty of Physics and Astronomy and the section Coastal research of the Physical Geography Department of the faculty of Geographical Sciences. The IMAU is the only university research institute combining these fields in the Netherlands, providing also the scientific background and facilities for research education and training of both graduate and undergraduate students.
