Definition
- The British Oceanographic Data Centre (BODC) is hosted by the Proudman Oceanographic Laboratory on behalf of the marine science and technology programme of the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) of the United Kingdom. In addition to its primary role as NERC's Designated Data Centre for oceanographic data, BODC is also recognized as the UK's National Oceanographic Data Centre within the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission's International Oceanographic Data Exchange System. http://www.bodc.ac.uk/ [The information in this description was derived from the BODC homepage] (en)
