Definition
- The Tasmania Research Centre is set in the grounds of the University of Tasmania overlooking the Derwent River estuary and Hobart city. The building also houses the Cooperative Research Centre for Sustainable Production Forestry (CRC-SPF) of which the Division is a major partner. CSIRO Forestry and Forest Products is the largest single organization in Australia conducting research into forestry, wood and paper science. The Division has an established international reputation as a centre of excellence in forestry and forest products research, both through the quality of its science and the impact of its research on economic and environmental issues.
