Definition

  • The mission of the Center for Environmental Design Research (CEDR) is to encourage and foster research in environmental planning and design. Such research is aimed at increasing the factual content of planning and design decisions, and at promoting systematic approaches to design decision-making. The Center transfers its research findings to practice through education within and outside the University, publication in various media, conferences and workshops, and by participation of its researchers in professional associations, government and industry standards committees, and industry consortia.
