  • The National Museum of Natural Sciences is a unique institution within the Superior Council of Scientific Investigations CSIC (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas) that not only carries out cutting edge scientific research and manages an important collection of specimens, it also develops activities and educational activities directed toward the general public. The common objective of all the Museum's activities is to promote a more complete knowledge of the biodiversity of the natural world; knowledge that is essential for the conservation of our environment. The Museum disseminates this knowledge in hopes to improve the community's understanding of science and to increase its appreciation for the richness of our natural heritage.
