Definition
- The University of Amsterdam Institute for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Dynamics (IBED) was founded in 2000 by the Faculty of Science as a response to some of the major challenges to modern science. These challenges are to understand man-made as well as natural global change and their impact on biodiversity.
