Definition
- The USGS Digital Series online service provides information on publications of the USGS warehouse, Library online catalog, and the publications of the USGS. The main screen of this program provides a list of Digital Data Series and Data Series CD's and DVD's that are found on its website. The Digital Data Series encompasses a broad range of digital data, including computer programs, interpreted results of investigations, comprehensive reviewed data bases, spatial data sets, digital images and animation, and multimedia presentations that are not intended for printed release. The Data Series is intended for release of basic data sets, databases, and multimedia or motion graphics.
