Definition
- The measure of Isotopes, atoms that contain different # of proton /neutrons. The number of protons (the atomic number) is the same for each isotope, e.g. carbon-12, carbon-13 and carbon-14 each have 6 protons, but the number of neutrons in each isotope differs. (en)
