  • The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is the Nation's largest water, earth, biological science, and civilian mapping agency. The Wisconsin Water Science Center is based in Middleton, Wisconsin. We carry out our activities from offices in Middleton, Rice Lake, and Rhinelander and from many field locations throughout the State. The Wisconsin Water Science Center staff is composed of professional scientists, technicians, and support personnel who are committed to providing accurate and timely natural-resource information to Wisconsin and the Nation. The collection, analysis, and interpretation of water data is done in cooperation with other Federal, State, and local agencies, universities, and research centers.
