- The University of Idaho Department of Forest Resources conducts research in a wide range of subjects, including ecology, silviculture, forest genetics, nursery management, remote sensing and geographic information systems, economics, sociology, policy, and watershed management. Faculty members have received numerous awards and are recognized both nationally and internationally for their research. Almost all have international experience.
