SPHERICAL HARMONIC MODELS
Definition
- An orthogonal set of basis functions to define the amplitudes at the surface of a sphere. It is often employed in solving partial differential equations in many scientific fields, and can be thought of as the 2D Fourier transform of a spatial grid. (en)
