Definition
- ISTerre (Institute of Earth Sciences) is resulting from the combination of LGCA (Laboratory of Geodynamics of the Alpine Chains) and LGIT (Laboratory of Internal Geophysics and Tectonophysics). It brings together researchers in Earth Sciences in the PRES of the University of Grenoble. The scientific objective of our unity is the physical and chemical study of planet Earth, particularly focusing on the coupling between the observations of natural objects, experimentation and modeling of complex processes involved.
