  • The Iowa Flood Studies (IFloodS) field campaign was conducted in the central to northeastern part of Iowa in the Midwestern United States during the months of April thru June 2013. The objectives and goals of this field campaign were to quantify the physical characteristics and space/time variability of rain, assess satellite rainfall retrieval uncertainties, discern relative roles of rainfall quantities, such as rate and accumulation, and refine approaches to 'integrated hydrologic ground validation' concept based on IFloodS experiences.
