Definition
- The Modular Optoelectronic Scanner MOS is a space borne imaging push broom spectrometer in the visible and near infrared range of optical spectra (400 - 1010 nm), which was specially designed for remote sensing of the ocean-atmosphere system. MOS-PRIRODA and MOS-IRS instruments are basically identical providing 17 spectral channels with medium spatial resolution in the VIS/NIR. The advanced instrument built for the IRS spacecraft has one additional channel in the SWIR at 1.6?m.
