Definition
- CGD pursues research as part of the Earth and Sun Systems Laboratory (ESSL) at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). CGD research provides understanding of the Earth's climate system and uses models to develop the capability of predicting the evolution of the climate system to the degree possible. Research within CGD is highly collaborative, with specialties focussed in six major research sections and one for information systems which administers CGD's computing needs.
