Definition
- OOA is a component of the NOAA/UNH Cooperative Institute for Mariculture and Fisheries (CINEMar, "http://cinemar.unh.edu/"), funded by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. The overall goal of the project is to demonstrate the feasibility of off-shore aquaculture - technologically - biologically - environmentally - economically and to further the establishment of a viable commercial aquaculture industry in New England and other regions of the United States, thereby increasing seafood production, creating new employment opportunities, and contributing to economic and community development.
