Definition
- An important facet of the US DOE sponsored research has been the development, purchase and use of standardized instrumentation for use by the various measurement groups. In particular, the Science Team has emphasized the use of the SOMMA (Single Operator Multiparameter Metabolic Analyzer) system, developed by Ken Johnson, for the measurement of total dissolved inorganic carbon.
