IMPACT
Definition
- Project IMPACT combines the resources of individuals, schools, churches and local businesses in the Teton County, Wyoming area into a community-wide program that helps prepare for, and protect against, natural disasters before they happen. To help the community prepare for natural disasters, Teton County along with FEMA and Greenwood Mapping, Inc have delevoped an interactive natural hazards site that contains a map that allows users to pinpoint hazards at specific locations. Users of the map service can learn about natural hazards, such as floods or wildfires, that are associated with where they live. View the map at "http://www.bepreparedtc.com/hazard_map.shtm" Additional information on the project is available at "http://www.tetonsafety.com/" (en)
