ECLIPS

Definition

  • Cloud Lidar Pilot Study (ECLIPS)Objectives: 1.Demonstrate feasibility of obtaining a long-term climatology of cloud base and optical depth. 2.Improve methods of satellite cloud retrieval. 3.Obtain a data set of cloud optical properties complementary to the ISCCP data set. The data would be handled through a designated data center to the NCDS NASA Climate Data Center. Contact Information: LIDAR RESEARCHER: C. Martin R. Platt, Stuart A. Young, Richard T.
