Definition
- Drought frequency refers to the number of drought events that occur within a specified period of time. Drought frequency, duration, and severity are often used together as a means to describe and evaluate drought conditions in a given area (i.e., how often an area is affected by drought, how long is it affected, and how severely it is affected).
