update Definition (The National Ice Center (NIC) is a multi-agency operational
center representing the Department of Defense (Navy), the
Department of Commerce's National Oceanic and Atmospheric

Environmental Satellite Data Information Service (NESDIS) within
NOAA. The Navy component within NIC is called the Naval Ice
