NPWRC strives for quality, integrity, and the credibility of its research. The
company came to be on September 18, 1965. The Bureau of Sport Fisheries and
Wildlife conducted research on waterfowl production, which established the
Center. In November 1993, under the advisory of the NBS, the mission was
broadened to include research on all biological topics of the Department of the
Interior land-management bureaus. The strengths of the Center include a sound
foundation established by past research findings.
